Leeds Center for the Arts requests donated submissions of artwork in all media, for its inaugural “Main Event,” a fundraiser to take place Saturday, September 23, 2023. Each piece will be entered into a silent auction and on display in downtown Winchester businesses. Bids will be open between Wednesday, August 23 and the date of the event. Leeds will split the proceeds of each item 50/50 with the artists, to be made payable no later than October 3, 2023. Artwork with no bids will be returned to the artist. 

TIMELINE

Tuesday, August 1, 2023: Deadline for submission

Tuesday, August 15: Deadline for delivery/pickup of artwork

Tuesday, August 22, 7pm: Reception at Leeds Center for the Arts for artists and participating businesses

Wednesday, August 23 – Saturday, September 23: Open bidding for artwork

Saturday, September 23, 7:30pm: The Main Event at Leeds 

Tuesday, October 3: Deadline for payment to artists

REQUESTED WORK

Any 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional original artwork (previously created or created for this event), with measurements not to exceed 4 feet in height or width for 2-dimensional art or 2 feet long by 2 feet wide by 5 feet tall for 3-dimensional art.

Pieces should be appropriate in style and content for general audiences, as they will be displayed in public businesses. The subject of the work is open, though they can be themed to the event: a celebration of downtown Winchester.
