Grow your skills in singing, dancing, and acting, with Steve Crosby and Ellie Miller, as well as professional guest artists from around Central Kentucky. The final showcase will feature unforgettable characters and songs from our very favorite Broadway shows. Campers will have the opportunity to explore musical and acting solos, duets, and group numbers. High-caliber dance, as well as vocal and acting training all culminate into a fully staged production.
Camp begins on June 6, 2022 and will run for two weeks with a performance on Friday, June 17 @ 7:00PM.
This is an all day camp Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Camp Information and Safety Protocols
If your child exhibits any of the following symptoms before camp or upon arrival – fever of 100.4 or above, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell – please notify Leeds immediately and keep your child at home.
Drop Off/Pick Up
All participants must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
Campers may be signed in in the lobby of the building starting 10 minutes prior to the start of their camp. If someone other than the parents/guardians on file plan to pick up your camper, please let our staff know.
What to Bring
We ask that participants only bring the following:
- 2 full water bottles
- A pre-made lunch and a snack. No nuts please! No one will be allowed to leave the building.
- Dress in comfortable clothing.
- Masks are currently still required.
Leeds will provide most costume elements, however we may ask you to send your child in a particular color “base layer” for their performance (ex. green top, black leggings). Parents/guardians will be informed of any costume recommendations with ample time to plan, and there is no expectation of having to purchase costume pieces. However, investing in a pair of jazz shoes is strongly encouraged!
Camp t-shirts will be available for pre-purchase on the Eventbrite Page and pickup on the first day of camp. The choice of whether or not to purchase a shirt is up to you!
This camp will culminate in one live, ticketed performance on June 17. All active Covid mitigation guidelines will be strictly enforced. Friends and family are welcome to attend performances! All audience members must purchase tickets and at this time audience members must present proof of vaccination or negative test result not older than 48 hours. The test must not be a home test.
Leeds Center for the Arts Financial Aid program is based solely on need. Due to great demand and limited resources, it is important that you provide us with your complete financial picture for full consideration. Financial Aid is awarded in 15%, 25%, or 50% tuition waivers. The form is due two weeks prior to the first day of class and does not guarantee a spot in the class.
